Meet the danes
Danes on the Road is a travel blog created by two Danes, which you might have guessed from the name. We are a young couple who have been fortunate enough to travel far and wide in our years together and this blog is our way of sharing our experiences.
Before starting at university back in 2019, we wanted to experience the world a little. That is why we took a 3-month trip to Bali, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Morroco. We enjoyed ourselves, and as you can imagine, it was three very packed months stuffed to the rim with great experiences.
However, the trip also made us realise, that there were a lot of things we would have liked to know ahead of our trip, that just were not easily available online. This was originally what sparked the idea for Danes on the Road; we wanted to create a blog with inspiration, informative, and genuine travel guides to assist others in their travel planning.
We began writing our first travel posts already back then, and have been working on and off on the project throughout the following years as time permitted. However, it was not until the fall of 2022 that we finally got around to launching Danes on the Road to the world.
The issue with having a travel blog is that new content requires new travel experiences. So what better way to launch the blog than by using a year of our lives to travel around the world? That is exactly what we decided to do, and are currently underway on our 1-year trip to Namibia, South Africa, Mexico, USA and Canada.
We of course hope that you will explore our travel guides from the countries that we have visited and from the destinations we hope to visit in the future. No matter what we want to thank you for stopping by; a lot of work went into the content of this site, and every time we have visitors stopping by, all the work feels worth it.
