Getting to Biscuit Mill

The Neighbourgoods Market is held at the Biscuit Mill, which is located in the Woodstock area of Cape Town. From Cape Town center you must follow the road towards Woodstock until you reach the Biscuit Mill on your right side. You can park along Albert Road (the road you will come from). You will know when you are near the market as there are several parking guards ready to help you find a free parking space. It is also possible to take the MyCiti Bus route 261, which stops in front of the mill, or route 102 which stops on Salt River Road, only a few meters from the market.

Opening Hours and entrance to Biscuit Mill

The Neighbourgoods Market at the Biscuit Mill is open every Saturday and Sunday. On Saturdays, the opening hours are from 9:00 to 16:00 and on Sundays, the market is open from 10:00 to 16:00. The great thing about the market is that it is free to visit. However, you should set aside 5 to 10 ZAR for parking. And you cannot visit Neighbourgoods Market without tasting some of the delicious food – so remember to bring enough cash or your card for this.

Time spent at Neighbourgoods Market

The market is not the biggest, which makes it perfect as a stopover if you have a packed itinerary. However, you could easily spend a few hours roaming the different stalls, trying some tasty food, and just enjoying the atmosphere. With a DJ playing some nice tunes and a very laid-back vibe this is the perfect place to spend some time talking and enjoying each other’s company.

Best time to visit Biscuit Mill

The best time to visit the Biscuit Mill is definitely on the weekend when the Neighbourgoods Market is held. However, it is also possible to visit the Biscuit Mill and its stores during the week. If you are not able to visit during the weekend, we still highly recommend you swing by the mill to browse through their stores and take in the atmosphere.
