2. Do as the locals: Visit the market
Every Wednesday morning there is a local market in Ella. Passara Road is filled with small stalls where it’s possible to buy clothes, fresh vegetables, spices, and fruit. If you don’t mind getting up early, the local market is one of the best ways to experience their everyday life and culture.
3. Climb Little Adam’s Peak
Little Adam’s Peak is the little brother to Adam’s Peak. If you are not ready for the big climb of Adam’s Peak the smaller Little Adam’s Peak is a good alternative. It’s a climb where most people have a chance to accomplish. There are stairs and footpaths all the way up, which is why it’s a manageable way to the top.
From the top, you will find a beautiful view over the valley of Ella. From here you can spend some time enjoying the view, maybe chill in the shadows or go exploring. Little Adam’s Peak is definitely worth a visit when in Ella.
